These cows have been under intensive selection pressure for over 100 years. J.J. Scheckel has always focused on traits of economic importance, while at the same time, keeping Angus cattle true to the original breed character that made them famous. We promote strong and sturdy cattle, that grow fast, yet display exceptional width, depth, length, and capacity, all while maintaining the maternal traits, fertility, and fleshing ability that made the Angus breed so great.
